Author Guidelines

Paper submission guidelines

1. Abstract and the full paper can only be submitted online on our website:http://ccg.unb.br/

2. The 2nd CCGUnB team will confirm the receipt of abstracts and articles by email adressed to the author.

3. Abstracts and articles submitted must be according to one of the nine thematic areas of the event.

4. Two files must be submitted according to the rules as follows:

 

File 1 (TEMPLATE FOR FILE 1)

a. Paper title;

b. Authors/Institutions;

c. Abstract;

d. Research Method:

5. Interdisciplinary approaches will be admitted, in the following methodological perspectives:

  • Analitical/Modeling - definitions of discussions and relations among concepts
  • Case/Field Study- case study method or field research
  • Empirical Archival - Test method of hypothesis and research question
  • Experimental / Almost-experimental - experiment design or almost-experiment
  • Historical - perspective method and historical research of thought and accounting practices
  • Critical and Interdisciplinary - design of the interrelation of various disciplines, based on critical theory
  • Market Oriented - method of analysis between the various market variables
  • Survey - survey method for research topic

6. The work must be submitted in final form, not being accepted later corrections to the shipment.

7. It will only be allowed to submit up to three works, as principal or co-author.

8. The limit is 4 authors per work.

9. Abstracts and articles should be prepared in the format specified in ‘how to develop the articles’ section of this Notice.

10. Abstracts and articles that do not comply with the submission requirements of this Notice and Annex will not be considered by the Scientific Committee.

11. The submission process should note the following schedule:

 

Important Dates:

  • Paper submission: May 16th-July 17th, 2016
  • Acceptance notification: September 2th, 2016
  • Author registration: September 2th-September 30th, 2016
  • Registration: June 1th – October 24th, 2016
  • Pre-conference program: October 10th, 2016
  • Workshop registration*: September 12th – September, 30th, 2016.
  • Conference Dates: November 23th-25th, 2016

12. Once released the results of the selected articles, it is expected that at least one of the authors/co-authors confirm your registration and participation at the conference to present the work. The registration must be done by approved work, that is, if a single author submit three articles and these may be approved, it must make three entries and make their payments (will be dispensed from the dinner payment), unless a co-author makes a new registration and its payment. The planning of the following steps assumes that all approved papers will be presented. Therefore, the Executive Committee of the UnB Conference on Accounting and Governance may refuseauthors and co-authors of approved papers that do not confirm your registration at the conference to participate in up to two subsequent events.

13. Eventual omitted situations will be solved by the Executive Committee of the 2nd CCGUnB. Eventual doubts may be elucidated by this Committee, which may be contact via the eletronic adress.

 

Languages

Abstracts and papers will be accepted in Portuguese, Spanish and English.

 

How to develop the articles

Before submitting an article, the author(s) must be registered at the Conference home page in the profile 'author'. Articles should be submitted according to the following criteria and technical characteristics:

1. Format: Paper A-4 (29.7 x 21 cm); margins: superior = 3cm, inferior = 2cm, 3cm left and 2cm right; text editor: Word for Windows 6.0 or later, using Times New Roman size 12, single line spacing and 6 points before and after paragraphs.

2. Article must contain at least 11 and at most 16 pages, including title, abstract, content itself, tables, graphs, illustrations, notes and references.

3. The tables, charts, graphs and illustrations can not be colored.

4. TIP should be used to emphasize words, phrases or symbols. ITALIC should only be used for foreign words. "QUOTES DOUBLES" should be used for direct quotes and interviewed phrases. [BRACKETS] should be used within text with double quotation marks to isolate material that the original source was included in quotes.

5. The title should contain up to 10 words (excluding articles and pronouns) and represent the 'minor summary' of the article content.

6. Insert the title on the first page of the work, with the first letters of each word capitalized, followed by abstract and keywords, and identification of the author(s).

7. The author must submit a separate page file containing: the paper title in the language it was written, the author(s) complete(s) name(s) accompanied(s) by information as follows: higher study degree and area of knowledge, institution name and affiliation with the unit to which it belongs, address, email and phone.

8. The maximum number of authors per article is 4, ordered according to the contribution of each to the text. Names of other persons who participated indirectly in the preparation may be indicated as text final note.

9. The text of the abstract, in the language which the article was written, should contain up to 1,350 characters with spaces, and indicate clearly: objective, method, results, conclusions from the results, the main contributions of the study and three to five key words, and other points that the authors consider necessary to give an overview of the work.

10. Citations should be presented in the text, including the surname of the author of the reference, the date of publication and page number (if applicable), according to the APA rules. Full references of author(s) quoted should be presented in alphabetical order at the end of the text according to the APA. For more information: American Psychological Association (APA). (2001). 11. The notes should be numbered sequentially in the text, and presented at the end of the article, after the references.

12. Annexes and Appendices are inserted after the references.

Submissions Rules

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check the conformity of submission in respect of all the items listed below. Submissions that do not comply with the rules will be returned to authors.

1. Articles submitted to the 2nd UnB Conference on Accounting and Governance must be unpublished in Braziian conferences and journals and unpublished abroad to journals, and not being under the evaluation process for publication in any other vehicle of disclosure.

2. The identification of authorship of this work has been completely removed from the file and the Properties option in Word, thus ensuring the confidentiality criteria.

3. The submission file can not exceed 2MB.

4. The pictures, tables, graphs and illustrations can not be colored.

5. All pages of Internet addresses (URLs) in the text are activated and ready to click.
