The 1st International Conference of the Third Sector is an initiative from the Department of Accounting and Actuarial Sciences at the University of Brasilia – Brazil. The third sector is an important industry of the economy. In all the world, it produces employment and promotes development in several areas such as education, health, social assistance, environment, sustainability, finances among others. The transparency in disclosure regarding accountability is the support of this conference. In addition, the third sector is known by its solidarity, volunteering and for being recipient of tax exemption.
