Abstract

The theme of economic primaryization in Brazil is commonly studied by economists, and the prevailing paradigm in economics considers the Brazilian agrarian question as a matter of the past, somewhat solved, since contemporary economic thought has abandoned land rent as an analytical category of development agrarian, to the detriment of the marginalist theory. In this article, we discuss the relationship between the agrarian question and the reprimarization of the economy as a result of the way capitalist society organized the countryside and the city, since this form of territorial organization in Brazil has always been associated with the agrarian export model . In this sense, the abandonment of land income as an analytical category and the mistaken adoption of the concept of agribusiness as totality, is a form of theoretical methodological subterfuge created to hide the main phenomena related to the monopoly action of the capital in the field, camouflaging the movement of constant accumulation of wealth by a small part of the population resulting from concentration of land and large-scale production for export.
